The Sussex Volleyball Association runs a Ladies league and 2 Men's leagues for Volleyball teams in East and West Sussex.
The association also runs an Annual Cup competition for all Sussex teams.

The SVA is affiliated to the English Volleyball Association (EVA) and the South East Volleyball Association (SEVA).

President’s Address

Welcome all to the new season. First of all let me thank all the committee for all their hard work last season, and thank you to those people who have volunteered to stand as committee members this season.

We start the season with a successful Beach Fest already behind us. Thank you to Richard Reynolds for making this so successful. I would like to take this opportunity of welcoming Chichester University Volleyball Club to the Sussex Volleyball Association. With the number of competitive teams reducing this year in comparison to previous seasons new entrants are most welcome. It will be the task of the committee this season to try and revive the interest in volleyball in Sussex and try to get a renewed interest in teams where interest has dwindled. Despite this I expect the usual level of competitiveness from the teams entered!

We have been lucky to continue the momentum with our juniors in Sussex with the work done by Freda and Worthing continuing to deliver good results. We have had two more juniors move to play National league from the men’s side; Jimmy Carey and Matt Smith. The ladies juniors continue to grow in strength through Worthing and on to the Ashcombe National League team in Surrey. There is still work to be done with juniors in Sussex to build a base for the future and again the committee will look to put the building blocks in place this year to deliver this.
