President's Addressss

Welcome all to the new season.

First of all let me thank all the committee for all their hard work last season and thank you to those people who have volunteered to stand as committee members this season.

We start the season with a successful Beach Fest already behind us. Thank you to Richard Reynolds for making this so successful yet again. Richard has decided to step down from Beach and the updating the website. Can I thank Richard for all his hard work and efforts over the last few years.

I am pleased to say that we have gained another Adur ladies team this season but sadly lose Chichester University.

We have been lucky to continue the momentum with our juniors in Sussex with the work done by Freda and Worthing continuing to deliver good results. Darren Ball has been supportive in keeping juniors alive in St Pauls and this coming season Dolphins will link with St Pauls both in terms of junior training but also as the base for the Sussex National League volleyball team.

I hope many of you got to the international games that again were hosted in Sussex in June this year with both the GB mens and ladies squads performing well. As a prelude to the Olympics it was a wonderful opportunity to see top flight volleyball at reasonable prices in our backyard. I was also pleased to see so many local schools with pupils attending on the Friday afternoon. They certainly cheered our boys on!

As always last years leagues were hotly contested and I have no doubt the coming season will prove equally competitive.

Finally I would like to wish you all the best of luck for the upcoming season.
